  3. Congress Reykjavik 2026 (Snorri and Steinunn)
    Early bird was planned to end at 30 of April but was extended to 11th of May. Today there are 215 registered participants. The abstracts have been evaluated, and the presenters will be notified during the week. Those accepted will have the possibility to register at an early-bird fee.

    The sponsor registration today is, 2 gold, 4 silver and 9 bronze. Discussion about the finical conditions took place and we agreed to continue as planned. Steinunn will send out the list of sponsors so the board can help in contacting those maybe still missing. We agreed that sponsors who would like to add extra attendants from their companies (beyond those already included in their package) will be able to do so. They can register extra attendants for early-bird prize without date restrictions.

    We agreed that it will be possible to register just for the social activities if there are available seats. The price for this will be a flat rate that covers the entire cost for one person at the event in question. Snorri will discuss this with the congress bureau and get back to the next meeting with a suggestionfor price.

    The planning for a pre-course in collaboration with NILS has resulted in two pre-congress tracks with the possibility to welcome 60 participants. The question about how to handle the fee has been addressed by NILS. The participation-fee is low, there will be no or very little financial surplus, NFS carries the financial risk. Stina will inform NILS about this.

    We agreed to discuss chairs for scientific sessions at up-coming board meeting.

    We discussed the invitation to the general assembly and made some minor adjustments. Stina will send it out for national societies to spread and to publish on NFS homepage.

  4. Financial situation
    The balance for NFS is stable. Right now, it is just Janni who has access to the accounts. We agreed that at least two people should have access, and we are working towards that Stina also should have this.

  6. Next president
    Kirsten Tryde Macklon DK, has agreed to be suggested as next president for NFS at the general assembly in Iceland. We have decided to invite her free of charge, on behalf of NFS, to board-meeting 26th of August and to the congress.
